The chassis and brake system was completely restored and the drivetrain installed before the body was put back in place.
An LOF (PIlkington) E-Z-Eye windshield was installed with the polished stainless-steel retainer ring. All 13 pieces of glass were E-Z-Eye with LOF date codes.
Ready for the front-end sheet metal.
The wheel caddies allowed for almost effortless moving of the truck; and, the extra height made under-body work (scores of body bolts) very easy to deal with.
Open-air engine reassembly is a rare luxury.
The installation of dual-action vacuum & fuel lines were much easier without the sheet metal in place.
It is hard to tell from the Factory Assembly manual the original paths of the various lines.
A few, non-original joints allows for easier assembly/disassembly of the fuel line.
